AN ACT relative to providers prescribing cannabis for therapeutic purposes.

STATE OF NEW HAMPSHIRE
In the Year of Our Lord Two Thousand Fifteen
AN ACT relative to providers prescribing cannabis for therapeutic purposes.
Be it Enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Court convened:
1 Use of Cannabis for Therapeutic Purposes; Definition of “Provider.” Amend RSA 126-X:1, VII(a) to read as follows:
VII.(a) “Provider” means a physician licensed to prescribe drugs to humans under RSA 329 and who possesses certification from the United States Drug Enforcement Administration to prescribe controlled substances. “Provider” shall also mean an advanced practice registered nurse licensed pursuant to RSA 326-B:18 and a physician assistant licensed under RSA 328-D.
2 Effective Date. This act shall take effect 60 days after its passage.
