HOUSE BILL 236
AN ACT relative to child support and allowable child care expenses.
AMENDED ANALYSIS
This bill increases the amount of the self-support reserve if the obligor’s household includes other natural or adopted children of the obligor. The bill also expands the definition of allowable child care expenses to include expenses for the natural or adopted children of either party.

STATE OF NEW HAMPSHIRE
In the Year of Our Lord Two Thousand Fifteen
AN ACT relative to child support and allowable child care expenses.
Be it Enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Court convened:
1 Child Support Guidelines; Self-Support Reserve. Amend RSA 458-C:2, X to read as follows:
X. “Self-support reserve” means 115 percent of the federal poverty guideline for a single person living alone or for the obligor’s household, as determined annually by the United States Department of Health and Human Services. The obligor’s household shall include the obligor and any minor natural or adopted children of the obligor who are not the subject of the support order.
2 Child Support Guidelines; Allowable Child Care Expenses. Amend RSA 458-C:2, I-a to read as follows:
I-a. “Allowable child care expenses” means actual work-related child care expenses for [the children to whom the order applies] children residing in either home and includes necessary work-related education and training costs.
3 Effective Date. This act shall take effect January 1, 2016.
