AN ACT establishing a nurse practitioner position at the veterans’ home and making an appropriation therefor.

ANALYSIS

This bill establishes an additional nurse practitioner position at the veterans’ home and makes an appropriation to the veterans’ home for salary and benefits for the position.

This bill was requested by the committee to study the laws relating to the New Hampshire veterans’ home which was established by 2014, 88 (HB 1136).

STATE OF NEW HAMPSHIRE

In the Year of Our Lord Two Thousand Fifteen

AN ACT establishing a nurse practitioner position at the veterans’ home and making an appropriation therefor.

Be it Enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Court convened:

1 Veterans’ Home; Nurse Practitioner Position Established. There is established a nurse practitioner position at the veterans’ home. This position shall be classified and at labor grade 28. This position is in addition to the 3 current nurse practitioner positions at the veterans’ home.

2 Appropriation; Veterans’ Home. The sum of $92,414 for the fiscal year ending June 30, 2016 and the sum of $94,494 for the fiscal year ending June 30, 2017 are hereby appropriated to the veterans’ home, for the purpose of funding the position established in section 1 of this act. The governor is authorized to draw a warrant for said sums out of any money in the treasury not otherwise appropriated.

3 Effective Date. This act shall take effect July 1, 2015.

HB 457-FN-A - FISCAL NOTE

AN ACT establishing a nurse practitioner position at the veterans’ home and making an appropriation therefor.

FISCAL IMPACT:

The New Hampshire Veterans Home states this bill, as introduced, will increase state expenditures by $105,078 in FY 2016, $104,771 in FY 2017, $109,786 in FY 2018, and $114,972 in FY 2019. There will be no impact on county or local revenue and expenditures.

This bill appropriates $92,414 for the fiscal year ending June 30, 2016 and $94,494 for the fiscal year ending June 30, 2017 from the state general fund for the purpose of this act.
