HOUSE BILL 528
AN ACT relative to motor vehicle records provided to insurance companies.
ANALYSIS
This bill excludes violations of vehicle registration and emissions requirements from the motor vehicle records available to insurance companies if the applicable fines and assessments have been paid.

STATE OF NEW HAMPSHIRE
In the Year of Our Lord Two Thousand Fifteen
AN ACT relative to motor vehicle records provided to insurance companies.
Be it Enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Court convened:
1 Motor Vehicle Records Available to Insurance Companies. Amend RSA 260:14, IV(a)(2) to read as follows:
(2) Insurance companies authorized to write automobile and personal excess liability insurance policies, or by self-insured entities, or their authorized agents, for use in connection with claims investigation activities, anti-fraud activities, rating, or underwriting. Records provided to insurance companies under this subparagraph shall not include any records of violations of RSA 261:40 or RSA 266:59-b after all fees and assessments for those violations have been paid.
2 Effective Date. This act shall take effect 60 days after its passage.
