AN ACT relative to motor vehicle emission requirements.
ANALYSIS
This bill exempts vehicles that are 10 to 20 model years old and vehicles for which repairs are unsuccessful from emissions control requirements.

STATE OF NEW HAMPSHIRE
In the Year of Our Lord Two Thousand Fifteen
AN ACT relative to motor vehicle emission requirements.
Be it Enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Court convened:
1 Emission Control Equipment; Exemption. Amend RSA 266:59-b, IV to read as follows:
IV.(a) This section shall not apply to vehicles [20] 10 or more model years old which shall be determined by subtracting the model year of the vehicle from the calendar year in which the inspection occurs.
(b) A vehicle shall qualify for an exemption from the provisions of this section for an indication of failure if the owner verifies that he or she has spent $100 or more unsuccessfully attempting to repair the cause of the indication of failure and the vehicle passes all other inspection requirements.
2 Effective Date. This act shall take effect January 1, 2016.
