STATE OF NEW HAMPSHIRE

In the Year of Our Lord Two Thousand Sixteen

AN ACT proclaiming the second week in September as Patriot Week.

Be it Enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Court convened:

1 New Section; Patriot Week. Amend RSA 4 by inserting after section 13-u the following new section:

4:13-v Patriot Week. The governor shall annually proclaim the second week in September as Patriot Week and shall urge cities and towns throughout the state to observe this week in an appropriate manner. The governor shall also urge all citizens during this week to celebrate our founding principles, the founding fathers as well as other patriots, vital documents, speeches, and flag history in an effort to renew their appreciation and understanding of America's spirit and to reflect on the importance of patriotism to America's past, present, and future.

2 Effective Date. This act shall take effect 60 days after its passage.
