HOUSE BILL 1178

AN ACT relative to the taking of black bear assisted by a licensed guide.


ANALYSIS

This bill provides that a guide licensed by the fish and game department shall not be limited in the number of bears they may assist in taking but shall be limited to 6 active bear bait sites.

STATE OF NEW HAMPSHIRE

In the Year of Our Lord Two Thousand Sixteen

AN ACT relative to the taking of black bear assisted by a licensed guide.

Be it Enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Court convened:

1 New Paragraph; Fish and Game; Licensed Guides; Wild Black Bear. Amend RSA 208:22 by inserting after paragraph X the following new paragraph:

XI. A guide licensed by the department who obtains a permit to guide bear shall:

(a) Not be limited in the number of bears the guide can assist in taking under the permit to guide bear.

(b) Be limited to not more than 6 active bait sites during the open season for baiting established by the executive director under RSA 207:3-d.

2 Effective Date. This act shall take effect 60 days after its passage.
