AN ACT relative to revocation or suspension of a driver's license because of physical impairment.

STATE OF NEW HAMPSHIRE

In the Year of Our Lord Two Thousand Sixteen

AN ACT relative to revocation or suspension of a driver's license because of physical impairment.

Be it Enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Court convened:

1 Driver's License Suspension or Revocation; Physical Impairment. Amend RSA 263:56, I(d) to read as follows:

(d) Is incompetent to drive a motor vehicle by reason of physical, mental, or moral impairment. For purposes of this paragraph, a license suspension or revocation on the basis of moral impairment shall be predicated only upon a conviction of a crime involving moral turpitude, and a license suspension or revocation on the basis of physical impairment shall be predicated only upon written documentation of the impairment received prior to the suspension or revocation from a licensed physician;

2 Effective Date. This act shall take effect 60 days after its passage.
