AN ACT repealing the authority of assessing officials to obtain administrative inspection warrants to complete property appraisals.

STATE OF NEW HAMPSHIRE

In the Year of Our Lord Two Thousand Sixteen

AN ACT repealing the authority of assessing officials to obtain administrative inspection warrants to complete property appraisals.

Be it Enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Court convened:

1 Repeal. RSA 74:17, relative to obtaining an administrative inspection warrant for completion of an inventory or appraisal by assessing officials, is repealed.

2 Administrative Inspection Warrants; Limitation Added. Amend RSA 595-B:9 to read as follows:

595-B:9 Application Limited.

I. This chapter shall not apply to the application for warrants by personnel within the department of fish and game and the division of state police, and shall in no way affect the issuance of warrants at the request of persons within the department or division under other provisions of law.

II. This chapter shall not apply to the inspection of property by municipal assessing officials or their agents for the purpose of completing an inventory or appraisal.

3 Effective Date. This act shall take effect April 1, 2016.
