AN ACT relative to town maintenance of a road designated as a highway to summer cottages.

STATE OF NEW HAMPSHIRE
In the Year of Our Lord Two Thousand Sixteen
AN ACT relative to town maintenance of a road designated as a highway to summer cottages.
Be it Enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Court convened:
1 Repair of Highways by Towns; Keeping Open Highways to Summer Cottages. Amend RSA 231:81, III to read as follows:
III. The designation of a highway to summer cottages shall not be deemed altered by any change of use of land served by said highway, in the absence of action pursuant to paragraph II, except for full-time residency by an abutter, in which case the town shall maintain such road.
2 Effective Date. This act shall take effect 60 days after its passage.
