AN ACT requiring telephone notice where an electrical outage is expected to exceed 4 hours.

STATE OF NEW HAMPSHIRE

In the Year of Our Lord Two Thousand Sixteen

AN ACT requiring telephone notice where an electrical outage is expected to exceed 4 hours.

Be it Enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Court convened:

1 New Subdivision; Notice of Electric Outage. Amend RSA 374 by inserting after section 62 the following new subdivision:

Notice of Electric Outage

374:63 Notice of Electric Outage Required. When any electric outage is expected to exceed 4 hours in duration, the electric utility shall give telephone notice to customers affected by such outage.

2 Effective Date. This act shall take effect 60 days after its passage.
