AN ACT relative to interference with traffic devices.

STATE OF NEW HAMPSHIRE

In the Year of Our Lord Two Thousand Seventeen

AN ACT relative to interference with traffic devices.

Be it Enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Court convened:

113:1 Interference With Traffic Devices; Exemptions. Amend the introductory paragraph of RSA 265:15, II(c) to read as follows:

(c) This paragraph shall not apply to the following persons, who shall be permitted to use traffic signal preemption technology for emergency response purposes:

113:2 New Paragraph; Interference With Traffic Devices; Fixed-Route Public Transportation Buses. Amend RSA 265:15, II by inserting after subparagraph (d) the following new subparagraph:

(e) This paragraph shall not apply to personnel operating fixed-route public transportation buses while in regularly-scheduled service, who shall be permitted to use traffic signal prioritization technology for congestion management purposes.

113:3 Effective Date. This act shall take effect January 1, 2018.
