HOUSE BILL 445

AN ACT relative to notice of oral arguments in courts.


ANALYSIS

This bill requires the supreme court to adopt rules allowing any party to a case in any court in New Hampshire to request notice by certified mail of the date of oral arguments in such case. The requesting party shall pay the costs of such notification.

STATE OF NEW HAMPSHIRE

In the Year of Our Lord Two Thousand Seventeen

AN ACT relative to notice of oral arguments in courts.

Be it Enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Court convened:

1 New Section; Notice of Oral Arguments. Amend RSA 490 by inserting after section 8-a the following new section:

490:8-b Notice of Oral Arguments. The supreme court shall adopt rules allowing any party to a case in any court in New Hampshire to request notice by certified mail of the date of oral arguments in such case. The requesting parties shall pay the cost of such notice.

2 Effective Date. This act shall take effect 60 days after its passage.
