STATE OF NEW HAMPSHIRE

In the Year of Our Lord Two Thousand Seventeen

AN ACT relative to eligibility for a chartered public school charter.

Be it Enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Court convened:

1 Chartered Public Schools; Establishment; Application. Amend RSA 194-B:3, V to read as follows:

V. Persons or entities eligible to submit an application to establish a chartered public school shall include:

(a) A nonprofit organization consisting of only New Hampshire residents including, but not limited to, a college, university, museum, service club, or similar entity.

(b) A group of 2 or more New Hampshire certified teachers.

(c) A group of 10 or more [parents] New Hampshire residents.

2 Effective Date. This act shall take effect 60 days after its passage.
