STATE OF NEW HAMPSHIRE
In the Year of Our Lord Two Thousand Seventeen
A RESOLUTION urging Congress to support and fund rural transit initiatives.
Whereas, certain forms of public transportation, such as large buses, may not be appropriate for rural areas; and
Whereas, there are few transportation options for residents of rural areas who need to travel for work, medical services, shopping, and recreation; now, therefore, be it
Resolved by the House of Representatives, the Senate concurring:
That the general court of New Hampshire hereby urges the United States Congress to explore and support feasible transportation alternatives and to appropriate funds for rural transit initiatives in counties with a population under 100,000; and
That copies of this resolution signed by the speaker of the house and the president of the senate be forwarded to the President of the United States, the President of the United States Senate, the Speaker of the United States House of Representatives, and to each member of the New Hampshire congressional delegation.
