AN ACT prohibiting schools from prohibiting the wearing or display of the American flag.

STATE OF NEW HAMPSHIRE

In the Year of Our Lord Two Thousand Eighteen

AN ACT prohibiting schools from prohibiting the wearing or display of the American flag.

Be it Enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Court convened:

1 New Section; School Administrators; Display of American Flag. Amend RSA 189 by inserting after section 18-a the following new section:

189:18-b Display of American Flag. No public or private school shall prohibit the wearing or display of the American flag provided that it is not done in a disrespectful manner.

2 Effective Date. This act shall take effect 60 days after its passage.
