STATE OF NEW HAMPSHIRE

In the Year of Our Lord Two Thousand Eighteen

AN ACT prohibiting autonomous vehicles on New Hampshire highways.

Be it Enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Court convened:

1 New Subdivision; Autonomous Vehicles. Amend RSA 265 by inserting after section 161 the following new subdivision:

Autonomous Vehicles

265:162 Autonomous Vehicles; Operation Prohibited. No person shall operate an autonomous vehicle upon any way or allow an autonomous vehicle owned by him or her to be operated upon any way.

2 Effective Date. This act shall take effect January 1, 2019.
