AN ACT relative to surplus lines insurance requirements.
ANALYSIS
This bill requires insurance carriers licensed to do business in New Hampshire who write surplus lines insurance to include 2 percent of their policies in high risk categories.

STATE OF NEW HAMPSHIRE
In the Year of Our Lord Two Thousand Eighteen
AN ACT relative to surplus lines insurance requirements.
Be it Enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Court convened:
1 New Section; Surplus Lines Insurance Policies. Amend RSA 412 by inserting after section 16 the following new section:
412:16-a Surplus Lines Policies. Insurance carriers licensed to do business in New Hampshire who issue surplus lines policies shall include at least 2 percent of their policies in high risk categories. The commissioner shall determine by rule, pursuant to RSA 541-A, a definition of high risk.
2 Effective Date. This act shall take effect 60 days after its passage.
