METHODOLOGY:
This bill establishes RSA 99:10-a that sets hazardous duty pay at $20 per week, unless otherwise collectively bargained, in addition to regular salary, for classified employees in the Department of Transportation, whose primary job and regular responsibilities involve maintenance or construction on state highways, roads, and bridges. The table below details the Department of Transportation's costs estimates which assume employment levels will remain static during the next four fiscal years. These estimates also assume all full-time employees working 52 weeks and part-time employees working 26 weeks annually, who spend 50% of their time on maintenance or construction on state highways, roads, and bridges, will be paid $20 per week.
