STATE OF NEW HAMPSHIRE
In the Year of Our Lord Two Thousand Nineteen
AN ACT requiring teachers to have training in suicide and bullying awareness and prevention.
Be it Enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Court convened:
1 Short Title. This act shall be known and may be cited as the "Jason Flatt Act of 2019."
2 New Paragraph; Duties of State Board of Education. Amend RSA 186:11 by inserting after paragraph XXXVII the following new paragraph:
XXXVIII. Suicide Awareness and Prevention. Adopt rules, pursuant to RSA 541-A, requiring every teacher, supervisor, and administrator in the public schools of this state to receive at least 2 hours of training in suicide awareness and prevention annually and establish a penalty for noncompliance.
3 Effective Date. This act shall take effect 60 days after its passage.
