AN ACT relative to competency assessments.

STATE OF NEW HAMPSHIRE

In the Year of Our Lord Two Thousand Twenty

AN ACT relative to competency assessments.

Be it Enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Court convened:

1 New Paragraph; Statewide Performance Targets; High School Competency Assessments. Amend RSA 193-H:2 by inserting after paragraph III the following new paragraph:

IV. Every high school, as defined in RSA 194:23, shall have in place a competency assessment for each course offered in the high school in accordance with minimum standards for public school approval as adopted by the state board of education and shall submit a paper copy or electronic version of such assessment to the department of education no later than June 30, 2021. In subsequent years, the high school shall annually submit to the department only new or updated competency assessments by June 30.

2 Effective Date. This act shall take effect 60 days after its passage.
