STATE OF NEW HAMPSHIRE
In the Year of Our Lord Two Thousand Nineteen
AN ACT relative to a duty to report when another person has suffered grave physical harm.
Be it Enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Court convened:
1 New Section; Duty to Report Harm. Amend RSA 508 by inserting after section 12-d the following new section:
508:12-e Duty to Report Harm. Any person who knows that another has suffered or is exposed to grave physical harm shall report the situation to law enforcement or other emergency first responders as soon as reasonably practicable. Any person who violates this section shall be subject to a fine of $100.
2 Effective Date. This act shall take effect January 1, 2020.
