SENATE BILL 23-LOCAL

AN ACT relative to a town establishing a minimum age to purchase a product.

STATE OF NEW HAMPSHIRE

In the Year of Our Lord Two Thousand Nineteen

AN ACT relative to a town establishing a minimum age to purchase a product.

Be it Enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Court convened:

1 New Section; Powers of Towns; Minimum Age to Purchase. Amend RSA 31 by inserting after section 103-a the following new section:

31:103-b Minimum Age to Purchase Product. No town shall establish a minimum age for purchasing a product that is higher than the age prescribed by state law.

2 Effective Date. This act shall take effect 60 days after its passage.
