This bill requires that no device or instrument, nor the results or data produced by the same, shall be admissible as evidence in any court proceeding unless its accuracy and reliability is verifiable through a complete and independent scientific analysis or peer review.

STATE OF NEW HAMPSHIRE

In the Year of Our Lord Two Thousand Twenty

AN ACT relative to the analysis of devices or instruments that produce evidence that may be admissible in court.

Be it Enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Court convened:

1 New Subdivision; Analysis of Device or Instrument. Amend RSA 516 by inserting after section 38 the following new subdivision:

Analysis of Device or Instrument

516:39 Analysis of Device of Instrument. No device or instrument, nor the results or data produced by the same, shall be admissible as evidence in any court proceeding unless its accuracy and reliability is verifiable through a complete and independent scientific analysis or peer review.

2 Effective Date. This act shall take effect 60 days after its passage.
