STATE OF NEW HAMPSHIRE

In the Year of Our Lord Two Thousand Twenty Two

AN ACT making an appropriation to fund the Ash Landfill in Newport.

Be it Enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Court convened:

1 Appropriation; State Matching Funds for the Ash Landfill in Newport, Sullivan County. A sum not to exceed $500,000 is hereby appropriated to the department of environmental services for before fiscal year ending June 30 2022, as a condition to replenish and to make full the financial assurance trust fund agreement between the department of environmental services and the Newport Economic Development Corporation. The governor is authorized to draw a warrant for said sum out of any money in the treasury not otherwise appropriated.

2 Effective Date. This act shall take effect upon its passage.

METHODOLOGY:

This bill appropriates $500,000 in general funds in FY 2022 to the Department of Environmental Services as a condition to replenish and to make full the financial assurance trust fund agreement between the Department and the Newport Economic Development Corporation. It is assumed the entire $500,000 would be expended for the stated purpose in FY 2022.
