HOUSE BILL 1600
AN ACT relative to the use of body cameras by law enforcement during an interview or interrogation.
ANALYSIS

STATE OF NEW HAMPSHIRE
In the Year of Our Lord Two Thousand Twenty Two
AN ACT relative to the use of body cameras by law enforcement during an interview or interrogation.
Be it Enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Court convened:
1 New Subparagraph; Body Worn Cameras; Use of Body Worn Camera to Record Interview or Interrogation Prohibited. Amend RSA 105-D:2, VII by inserting after subparagraph (h) the following new subparagraph:
(i) An interview or interrogation of any person whether audio, video, or both, performed by a law enforcement officer inside a law enforcement agency building if no other means of recording is available in the building.
2 Effective Date. This act shall take effect 60 days after its passage.
