METHODOLOGY:
This bill would increase the allowable number of bingo game dates offered by charitable gaming organizations. The Lottery Commission states the license fee for a bingo event is $25 per game date and there are currently 200 charities offering bingo. While unable to predict how many additional bingo game dates may be added as a result of this bill, the Commission states the increase in state revenue per year would range from $0 (no new game dates added) to $360,000 (all 200 charities offer bingo up to the bill’s maximum). Lottery revenue is credited to the lottery fund, with net revenues after expenditures being credited to the state education trust fund. This bill is not expected to increase state expenditures.
