STATE OF NEW HAMPSHIRE

In the Year of Our Lord Two Thousand Twenty Two

AN ACT declaring the month of September as kinship care awareness month.

Be it Enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Court convened:

1 New Section; Observances Proclaimed by the Governor; Kinship Care Awareness Month. Amend RSA 4 by inserting after section 13-cc the following new section:

4:13-dd Kinship Care Awareness Month. The governor shall annually proclaim September as kinship care awareness month and shall encourage cities and towns throughout the state to observe this month in an appropriate manner to raise awareness about the lives of vulnerable children and families, to support the communities working together to lift them up, to honor the commitment and dedication of kinship caregivers, advocates, and allies with appropriate ceremonies and activities.

2 Effective Date. This act shall take effect 60 days after its passage.
