STATE OF NEW HAMPSHIRE

In the Year of Our Lord Two Thousand Twenty Three

AN ACT renaming a portion of route 140 in Gilmanton in honor of Private First Class Nicholas Cournoyer.

Be it Enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Court convened:

18:1 Town of Gilmanton; Private First Class Nicholas Cournoyer Highway. Pursuant to RSA 4:43, the portion of Route 140 in Gilmanton from the Belmont town line to the intersection with route 107 shall be named the Private First Class Nicholas Cournoyer Highway. The commissioner of the department of transportation shall erect a suitable memorial marker in the right-of-way designated section.

18:2 Signage. The cost of design, construction, maintenance, and installation of any signage, or other markers required under this act shall not be a charge to the state. However the design, construction, and installation of any signage or other markers required under this act shall be approved by the department of transportation.

18:3 Effective Date. This act shall take effect upon its passage.
