STATE OF NEW HAMPSHIRE

In the Year of Our Lord Two Thousand Twenty Three

AN ACT recognizing May 3rd as Old Man of the Mountain Day.

Be it Enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Court convened:

8:1 New Section; Observances Proclaimed by Governor; Old Man of the Mountain Day. Amend RSA 4 by inserting after section 13-cc the following new section:

4:13-dd Old Man of the Mountain Day. The governor shall issue an annual proclamation calling for the proper observance of May 3 as Old Man of the Mountain Day in honor of the day the iconic rock formation collapsed.

8:2 Effective Date. This act shall take effect upon its passage.
