STATE OF NEW HAMPSHIRE

In the Year of Our Lord Two Thousand Twenty Four

AN ACT relative to coyote hunting.

Be it Enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Court convened:

1 Game Animals; Coyote Hunting at Night. Amend RSA 208:1-e to read as follows:

208:1-e Coyote Hunting at Night. Except as provided in RSA 208:1-f, the executive director of fish and game, with the consent of the commission, [shall] may establish, by rules adopted under RSA 541-A, a night hunting season for coyote. Such rules [shall] may include, but not be limited to, the method and manner of taking, reporting requirements, length of the season and requirements for landowner permission. Coyote may be taken from baited areas pursuant to RSA 207:3-d.

2 New Section; Game Animals; Coyote Pup Protection. Amend RSA 208 by inserting after section 1-e the following new section:

208:1-f Coyote Pup Protection. No coyote shall be hunted at any time from April 1 through July 31 to coincide with coyote pup rearing.

3 Effective Date. This act shall take effect 60 days after its passage.
