AN ACT relative to protective custody statutes.


AMENDED ANALYSIS

This bill repeals contact requirements imposed upon local jails and county correctional facilities before lodging an individual incapacitated by either alcohol or drugs in the local jail or county correctional facility in protective custody.

STATE OF NEW HAMPSHIRE

In the Year of Our Lord Two Thousand Twenty Four

AN ACT relative to protective custody statutes.

Be it Enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Court convened:

72:1 Repeal. The following are repealed:

I. RSA 172:15, III, relative to contact requirements regarding incapacitated individuals taken into drug-related protective custody.

II. RSA 172-B:3, III, relative to contact requirements regarding incapacitated individuals taken into alcohol-related protective custody.

72:2 Effective Date. This act shall take effect 60 days after its passage.
