AN ACT relative to infrastructure appropriations for reimbursement to the city of Laconia.

This bill makes an appropriation to the department of administrative services for reimbursement of the city of Laconia for expenditures related to the public water, sewer, and road infrastructure improvements needed for the development of the former Laconia state school campus property.

STATE OF NEW HAMPSHIRE
In the Year of Our Lord Two Thousand Twenty Four
AN ACT relative to infrastructure appropriations for reimbursement to the city of Laconia.
Be it Enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Court convened:
1 Appropriation; Department of Administrative Services; Laconia Services Reimbursement. The sum of $3,000,000 is hereby appropriated for the biennium ending June 30, 2025, to the department of administrative services for reimbursement of the city of Laconia for expenditures related to the public water, sewer and road infrastructure improvements needed for the development of the former Laconia state school campus property. The use of the foregoing appropriation is conditioned upon the prior successful closing of a sale of the former Laconia state school campus property. The sum hereby appropriated shall be a charge against the proceeds from any sale of the former Laconia state school campus property and expended by the commissioner of administrative services. Any unexpended amount shall lapse to the general fund.
2 Effective Date. This act shall take effect upon its passage.

METHODOLOGY:
This bill appropriates $3,000,000 from the proceeds of the sale of the former Laconia State School campus property for the biennium ending June 30, 2025 to the Department of Administrative Services for reimbursement of the city of Laconia for expenditures related to the public water, sewer, and road infrastructure improvements needed for the development of the former Laconia state school campus property. The Department notes it is unaware of any existing obligation to fund or reimburse the city of Laconia for expenditures related to public water, sewer or roadway infrastructure improvements associated with the development. Any unexpended amount will lapse to the General fund at the end of the FY 2024-2025 biennium.
