AN ACT relative to the definition of "teacher."

STATE OF NEW HAMPSHIRE

In the Year of Our Lord Two Thousand Twenty Four

AN ACT relative to the definition of "teacher."

Be it Enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Court convened:

1 Failure to be Renominated or Reelected. Amend RSA 189:14-a, V to read as follows:

V. "Teacher" means any professional employee of any school district whose position requires certification as a professional engaged in teaching. The term "teacher" shall also include, but not be limited to, principals, assistant principals, deans, librarians, [and] guidance counselors, department directors, instructional coaches, and other similar professional positions.

2 Effective Date. This act shall take effect 60 days after its passage.
