Richard G. Sheehan (2018)
THE STATE OF NEW HAMPSHIRE
SUPREME COURT
ORDER LD-2018-0004, In the Matter of Richard G. Sheehan, Esquire Upon consideration of the respondent’s Request to Resign Pursuant to Supreme Court Rule 37(11), the Attorney Discipline Office’s assent to the request, and the Professional Conduct Committee’s opposition to the request, and after hearing oral argument on the matter, the court hereby grants the request. The court recognizes the serious nature of the misconduct the respondent has committed and to which he admits. However, for the reasons stated by the Attorney Discipline Office in its letter to the Professional Conduct Committee dated June 20, 2018, the court concludes that the resignation of the respondent in accordance with the terms and conditions specified in his Affidavit dated May 29, 2018, adequately protects the interests of the public and the integrity of the profession and conserves judicial resources. Accordingly, pursuant to Supreme Court Rule 37(11), the respondent is hereby permitted to resign from the New Hampshire Bar effective as of the date of this order. Respondent’s resignation is subject to all the terms and conditions stated in his Affidavit in Support of Request to Resign Pursuant to Rule 37(11) dated May 29, 2018, Exhibit A to said affidavit, and the respondent’s Agreement to Pay Costs of Disciplinary Matter dated June 6, 2018, all of which documents are incorporated by reference into this order.
