110-B:6-a Active State Service; Required Health Coverage. –

I.

National Guard members ordered to or retained on state active duty for longer than 30 days who do not have other health care coverage shall elect TRICARE coverage. The state shall pay the TRICARE premiums, up to a maximum of 100 percent of the service member's share of the premium for the period of state active duty to include the whole month in which the state active duty ends.

II.

The governor is hereby authorized to draw a warrant for sums sufficient to pay for premiums paid under this section out of any money in the treasury not otherwise appropriated, and said sums are hereby appropriated. Source. 2007, 369:1, eff. Sept. 15, 2007.
