141-F:1 Statement of Purpose. –

I.

It is the purpose of this chapter to designate the department of health and human services as the state agency responsible for preparing information on the transmission and prevention of the human immunodeficiency virus and the hepatitis B virus.

It is also the purpose of this chapter to require the department of health and human services to provide testing for the human immunodeficiency virus, to assure the quality of similar testing by other laboratories, and to carry out epidemiological analysis and follow-up.
