153-A:8 Trauma Medical Review Committee. –
Copy linkA minimum of 5 physicians representing the surgical disciplines of neurosurgery, general surgery, pediatric surgery, orthopedic surgery, and other physicians experienced in the treatment of adult and pediatric trauma patients.
Copy linkOne member from the New Hampshire chapter of the American College of Emergency Physicians.
Copy linkOne representative from a New Hampshire acute care hospital nominated by the New Hampshire Hospital Association.
Copy linkThe commissioner or the commissioner's designee shall serve as a nonvoting member and as executive secretary.
Copy linkThe term of each member shall be 3 years. The chair shall be appointed by the commissioner. The trauma medical review committee shall nominate one of its members to the governor for appointment to the coordinating board established in RSA 153-A:3.
Copy linkReview statewide trauma system operations, including monitoring adherence to established guidelines and standards, the availability of appropriate resources, and the periodic review of trauma hospital classification criteria.
Copy linkReview the delivery of emergency medical services by providers and units concerning the provision of care to trauma patients.
Copy linkMake recommendations to the coordinating board based on the reviews described in subparagraphs (b) and (c).
Copy linkRecommend to the emergency medical services medical control board modifications of the protocols of trauma care as a result of system-wide review.
Copy linkAssist trauma hospitals in the development and implementation of trauma quality improvement programs.
