RSA 153:4-b · Advisory Committee on State Building and Fire Codes
153:4-b Advisory Committee on State Building and Fire Codes. –
Copy linkThere is established the advisory committee to study the state building and fire codes.
Copy linkThree members of the house of representatives, 2 of whom shall be members of the house executive departments and administration committee and one of whom shall be a member of the finance committee, appointed by the speaker of the house of representatives.
Copy linkMembers of the committee shall receive mileage at the legislative rate when attending to the duties of the committee.
Copy linkThe committee shall work with the building code review board and board of fire control. The committee shall meet at least annually and on an as-needed basis to address building and fire code issues identified by the committee.
Copy linkThe members of the committee shall elect a chairperson from among the members. The first meeting of the committee shall be called by the first-named house member. The first meeting of the committee shall be held within 45 days of the effective date of this section. Three members of the committee shall constitute a quorum.
Copy linkBeginning November 1, 2022 and each November 1 thereafter, the committee shall report its findings and any recommendations for proposed legislation to the commissioner of the department of safety, the president of the senate, the speaker of the house of representatives, the senate clerk, the house clerk, the governor, and the state library on or before.
