RSA 170-G:6-a · Advisory Board
170-G:6-a Advisory Board. –
Copy linkThere is hereby established a board to advise the department of health and human services on services for children, youth, and families. The board shall consist of 12 members and such additional members as may be necessary to comply with federal regulations for the acceptance of federal funds and as may be necessary to make reasonable attempts to achieve representation of each county. Members of the board shall represent:
Copy linkThe juvenile justice field, law enforcement, probation, police, courts, and attorneys.
Copy linkAppropriate professional fields such as psychology, social services, education, and health.
Copy linkMembers of the public whose family has been affected by the department of health and human services, division for children, youth and families.
Copy linkEach member shall serve a term of 3 years; provided that legislative members shall serve a term coterminous with their term in office. A member shall continue to serve until a successor is appointed in the same manner as the original appointment. Members of the board shall serve without compensation but shall receive mileage payments at the state employee rate within the limits of funds appropriated to the department. Five members of the board shall constitute a quorum.
