21-P:70 Northern Border Alliance Fund. –

There is hereby established the northern border alliance fund within the department of safety for the purpose of make grants available to other state, county, and local law enforcement agencies, and also provide funding for the division of state police to reduce the instance of crimes and illicit activity in close proximity to the Canadian border. All moneys in the fund shall be nonlapsing and continually appropriated to the department of safety.

II.

The fund shall be overseen by the commissioner of the department of safety who shall, within 180 days of the effective date of this section, establish a process for the application for grants from the fund. Such process shall be established in rules adopted in accordance with RSA 541-A.

III.
