RSA 212-A:2 · Definitions
212-A:2 Definitions. – In this chapter:
Copy link"Endangered species act" means the endangered species act of 1973 [P.L. 93-205], 87 Stat. 884, as amended.
Copy link"Wildlife" means any member of any nondomesticated species of the animal kingdom, whether reared in captivity or not, including, without exception, any mammal, fish, bird, amphibian, reptile, mollusk, arthropod or other invertebrate, and includes any part, product, egg or offspring thereof, or the dead body or parts thereof.
Copy link"Endangered species" means any species of native wildlife whose continued existence as a viable component of the state's wild fauna is determined to be in jeopardy and includes any species of wildlife determined to be an endangered species pursuant to the endangered species act.
Copy link"Threatened species" means any species of wildlife which appears likely, within the foreseeable future, to become endangered. The term shall also include any species of wildlife determined to be a threatened species under the endangered species act.
