227-C:33 New Hampshire State Register of Historic Places. –

I.

In order to recognize, honor, and promote the state's historical, cultural, and archaeological heritage, the division of historical resources, department of natural and cultural resources, shall maintain and administer the New Hampshire state register of historic places. Buildings, districts, sites, landscapes, structures, or objects that are meaningful in the history, architecture, archaeology, engineering, or traditions of the state may be listed in the state register.

II.

Properties may be proposed for listing in the state register by submission of a nomination to the division of historical resources. With the consent of the property owner, the division shall forward correct and sufficient nominations of properties that meet the criteria in paragraph I to the state historical resources council for final approval and listing.

III.
