310-B:3 Licensure and Certification Use. –

I.

No person, other than a certified or licensed real estate appraiser, shall assume or use that title or any title, designation, or abbreviation likely to create the impression of certification or licensure as a real estate appraiser by this state. A person who is not certified or licensed pursuant to this chapter shall not describe or refer to any appraisal or other evaluation or real estate located in this state by the term "certified" or "licensed."

II.

Paragraph I shall not preclude a person who is not certified or licensed as a real estate appraiser from appraising real estate for non-federally related transactions for compensation.

III.

The provisions of this chapter shall not apply to an employee, or an elected or appointed representative of a municipality, or a person under contract by a municipality doing valuation for the sole purpose of ad valorem taxation.

IV.

The provisions of this chapter shall not apply to a real estate licensee under RSA 331-A when performing comparative market analyses or broker price opinions pursuant to permitted activities regulated by the New Hampshire real estate commission.
