326-B:18 Advanced Practice Registered Nurse; Licensure. –

I.

An applicant for initial APRN licensure shall:

(a)

Hold a current license as a registered nurse;

(b)

Have graduated with a graduate degree earned in an accredited advanced practice registered nurse education program or have graduated before July 1, 2004 from an APRN education program accredited by a national accrediting body;

(c)

Be currently certified by a board-recognized national certifying body in the specialty for which the applicant was educated; and

(d)

Meet other criteria as established by the board.
