415:6-d Maternity Rider. – Upon issuing any individual health insurance policy providing hospital, medical-surgical or major medical benefits, an insurer shall offer the insured the option of including a maternity benefits rider if maternity care is not covered under the policy. Nothing in this section shall be construed to apply to supplemental health insurance and disability insurance policies. Source. 1996, 188:19, eff. Jan. 1, 1997.
