420-D:24 Examinations. – The commissioner or the commissioner's agent shall examine the books and records of a provider subject to this chapter at least once every 5 years, or more frequently as the commissioner deems necessary to assure the accuracy of reports, taking into consideration other independent audits required under this chapter.
