RSA 466:1-c · Authorization to Issue Licenses; Local Law Enforcement Officers
466:1-c Authorization to Issue Licenses; Local Law Enforcement Officers. – The town or city clerk may authorize a local law enforcement officer to issue licenses and collect license fees pursuant to RSA 466:4. For the purposes of this section, a local law enforcement officer means the local police department of the city or town, the dog officer in a city or town, or a humane society which performs animal control functions as may be designated by the local governing body. The town or city clerk shall determine the criteria for the receipt of funds and recordkeeping. Source. 1994, 353:3, eff. Jan. 1, 1995.
