RSA 53:2 · Appointment; Tenure

53:2 Appointment; Tenure. – The commissioners of any county in which there may be any unincorporated place may, upon petition of 5 or more reputable persons resident in such place, appoint such persons as they may deem proper as police officers, for the purposes and with the powers herein set forth. Such police officers shall hold their offices during the pleasure of the county commissioners by whom they have been appointed, not exceeding a term of 3 years. Source. 1881, 68:1. PS 54:2. PL 58:2.
