The Department of Transportation requests placing this item on the Consent Calendar.
Under RSA 230:14, attached is a petition for addressing the poor pavement and drainage conditions
along Route 28 (South Main Street) between Pleasant Valley Road and Route 109 (Center Street),
locally known as Pickering Corner.
As the petition is not for the limitation or control of access, a Commission of Three Persons should be
appointed by the Governor with the advice of the Executive Council to hold a hearing as prescribed by
RSA 230:14. The Commission of Three Persons shall determine whether there is an occasion for the
project.
The purpose of the Wolfeboro project is to address the poor pavement and drainage conditions along
Route 28 (South Main Street) between Pleasant Valley Road and Route 109 (Center Street), locally
known as Pickering Corner.

– P E T I T I O N –
To Her Excellency, the Governor, and the Honorable Executive Council:
I, David M. Rodrigue, Commissioner of the New Hampshire Department of Transportation, under
RSA 230:14, propose to reconstruct the roadway along Route 28 (South Main Street) between
Pleasant Valley Road and Route 109 (Center Street), locally known as Pickering Corner, to address
poor pavement and drainage conditions.

Under RSA 230:14, attached is a petition for a hearing for
the proposed addressing of the poor pavement and
drainage conditions by reconstructing the roadway and
removing the existing concrete slab, improving closed
drainage and constructing water quality best management
practices, as well as widening the shoulder to accommodate
bicyclists and reconstructing the sidewalks of Route 28
(South Main Street). The project begins approximately five
hundred feet south of the intersection with Pleasant Valley
Road and continues 1.4 miles to the intersection with Route
109 (Center Street), known locally as Pickering Corner.
Wherefore I, David M. Rodrigue, Commissioner of the New Hampshire Department of
Transportation, under RSA 230:14, propose the reconstruction of poor pavement and drainage
conditions along Route 28 (South Main Street) between Pleasant Valley Road and Route 109
(Center Street), locally known as Pickering Corner.
